I just Love Ranger!!!!

I know I am stating the obvious... I have just never really tried using very many of his products and because of that I have not stocked them but boy is that about to change!!!!!

I recently spent two and a half days working through over 80 Techniques using Ranger goodies and I had such a brilliant time. Sadly since I came back I have not had time to play with any of the goodies I brought back or start any projects but I am hoping to start a valentines project for my beloved this week... I refuse to leave it so late again and find myself buying one... how bad and embarrassing is that!

Back to those brilliant days, I created a project at the end of the couple of days and I overcame a couple of things...lack of inspiration and my first EVER use of a canvas.. It really isn't something that I would do but for me it was brilliant to step outside of my comfort zone.

I used Adirondack dimensional pearls in butterscotch for the background, edging it with terracotta and Espresso, really simple to apply using cut to size Cut-N-Dry.

The collage was created using the following:

1. Flower, black flower painted with Adirondack dimensional pearls.

2. Grass, Crumple background in hand, brushed background with distress embossing ink. Dust with Distress embossing powder and heat set. Crumble background again in different areas and wipe over with distress ink. mist background with water to allow the ink to blend. Iron the back of the background with a craft iron. Tear the dried paper into strips to create the grass effect.

3. Memory Frame with collage. create collage with papers, stickers, transfers and anything that that you wish. Using a frosted piece of memory glass heat emboss with clear ink and embossing powder onto the frosted side of the glass to create a 'clear' pattern on the glass. Cut the collage to size using the glass as the template. Fix the collage and glass into the frame.

4. Butterfly, Stamp the butterfly image onto cardstock using the black soot distress ink and clear embossing powder. using the distress ink twist the ink pads onto the craft sheets and using a paint brush and water paint in the butterfly, alternatively use Cut n Dry nibs. dust all of the image with clear embossing powder ( if the powder doesn't stick to the image use the distress embossing ink and a piece of cut n dry to cover the image) then heat set the embossing powder and cut out the image.

Arrange the pieces on the canvas.

January Kit

Firstly...Happy New Year!! Secondly, welcome to our January Kit. It's been a little delayed but well worth the wait.

The theme for this month is Valentines, and Romance. After Christmas there always seems to be a lull where the weather is dull and cold and we still have to catch up with the Christmas housework etc before we have anything to really look forward to or celebrate. Well, why not start making the cards and planning your layouts early with our Valentines Kit. It's always hard to picture what we can do with a kit so I have added a couple of idea's that I worked on with this kit, the kit is generous so you can achieve so much more with it that you can see below.

The shop has taken a little bit of a setback and looks set to Open in March. When I will be running SDU (Scrapbook, Design and You) classes, along with Scrapbooking technique, layout and card making classes.

December Kit Layout

Another weekend over and back to the routine of the week.

I thought I should post the layout idea I was working with for the December Kit..It's not a great picture of the layout but you can see gist of it... and because no pictures you can ever publish really do the embellishments any justice I thought I'd show you the sprinkles glitter thickers and how wonderful they really

look.

THE KIT IS HERE !!!!!!!

This is so exciting for me personally and I know that everyone that contributes to whoops-a-Daisy has been waiting for this moment...

The kit is now available to purchase, it is gorgeous and indulges in all of those things that we associate with Christmas, Rich colours, Metalics, luxury textures and fun!

I have had such a good time playing with the kit myself and all of the results will be published for all to see tomorrow (one thing at a time!!) ...

Hi... sorry it's been so long since I last wrote. Have been up to loads what with the run up to Christmas and both of the boys having their birthdays so close but what a brilliant opporunity to scrap... Birthdays and Christmas I love them!!!..

The Boys are one of the inspirations for Whoops-a-Daisy and now they are getting older they are so helpful and supportive, Adam 9 and Ben 6.. I will introduce them properly another time. Along with my extremely supportive other half, Bob.

I am so pleased to announce our First Monthly Kit, A kit that is all of those things that we desire at this time of year, rich colours, glitter and luxury textures. With textured papers, ribbons, glittered and velvet embellishments. The kit will be announced officially at Whoopsadaisy.biz on Wednesday 3rd December. Tamlyn ideas!

It is such a dark and depressing monday, I can't think of a better way to brighten it up than to get my tote out and make some cards!!! I normally reserve Monday for admin and really boring mundane tasks but why should I... I am going to break the rules today!!

I now have all of the new Tamlyn Art Designs decoupage papers in stock and despite my original reservations and personal dislike for decoupage it is winning me around, especially with these designs.. I love them. They are modern and so versatile.

I created the card you can see on the right with a basic card blank and some paperstock, to make sure the decoupage character remains the focal point on the card I have only embellished with some small pearls which are by Hero Arts and the 16 is American Crafts Thickers.

Oh and a quick update on the Whoops shack.. it is nearly finished on the inside, photo's will follow so you can see, the walls are finished, eletrics are just to be connected up and can you believe it the flooring is being delivered this week!!

Crate Paper Embellishments ...wow!!

I had to share this one.... I have been playing with the new Crate paper Embellishments and papers this morning. They really are delicious!!.. it's been a while since I have delved into the Scrap tote and how I have missed it, I hope to have the project ideas flowing over the next few weeks.. I also have so many new products to add to the website, it's going to be a really busy time but so worth it...I am sure that nobody will be disappointed.

More details on the Layout..I used the Mia collection to create this page, along with some basics from my toolkit.. oh, and some American Crafts Rub-ons so really little effort for such high impact, I love inking so might have gone a little overboard on that but it's one of those techniques that makes me feel all warm inside, you get results every time and you really can't go wrong!
